Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of theengraversshop.com and any purchase from it. By placing an order you accept these terms.
1. Ordering
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you receive an order acknowledgement. We may decline any order — for example where an item is unavailable, where we cannot verify payment, or where the engraving requested breaches clause 4.
2. Pricing and currency
All prices are in US Dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude any import duty or tax levied in the destination country. We may change prices at any time, but never after your order is confirmed. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to error, we will contact you before proceeding rather than silently cancel.
3. Personalization — please read this clause
This is the most important term on this page.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the text you submit. The live preview shows exactly how your engraving will appear. What you approve is what we cut into the brass.
We engrave your text character for character. We do not correct spelling, adjust capitalisation, alter punctuation or change wording, because we cannot know whether an unusual spelling is an error or the correct spelling of someone's name. Please check your text carefully before ordering.
Engraving is permanent and cannot be reversed. An error in the text you supplied is not a manufacturing fault and is not covered by our returns policy. An error made by us is entirely our responsibility and we will replace the item at no cost.
4. Content you upload
By uploading a logo, photograph or artwork you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you grant us permission to reproduce it solely for the purpose of producing your order.
We will decline to engrave content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's trademark or copyright, that is obscene, or that promotes hatred or violence. If we decline on these grounds we will refund you in full.
You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from content you supplied that you did not have the right to use.
5. Product appearance
Brass is a natural material and each piece is hand-finished, so colour, patina depth and grain vary slightly between items. Screen rendering also varies. Minor variation is a characteristic of handmade work rather than a defect.
6. Delivery and risk
Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for carrier delays or customs holds outside our control. Risk passes to you on delivery. Title passes on full payment.
7. Returns
Our Returns Policy forms part of these terms.
8. Liability
Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including disappointment, missed occasions, or loss of profit.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, photographs, designs and the site itself — belongs to us and may not be reproduced without written permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Uttarakhand have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your own country of residence.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
